Destiny Announces 'Record' MPE Numbers

18,000 Songs Serviced to 450 Labels and 8,000 Installed Users; More than Four Times Nearest Competitor

June 8, 2006 – Vancouver, BC – Destiny Media Technologies (DSNY OTC BB) announced today that its Promo Only MPE system has achieved a number of milestones in servicing 18,000 songs (more than four times its nearest competitor) to over 450 labels and tabulating 8,000 registered users installed to its industry leading digital distribution system. The company further announced that it has serviced 100% of the top 30 songs on the premier music research service, Mediabase 24/7, in the following formats: Alternative Rock, Active Rock, Mainstream Rock, CHR/Pop, CHR/Rhythmic, Country and Christian AC. Promo Only MPE has consistently delivered the most tracks to radio and achieved the highest adoption rate across all formats of any digital distribution service currently available.

In their exclusive partnership with Promo Only MPE, Mediabase 24/7, a division of Premiere Radio Networks and one of the most respected names and services in the radio industry with nearly 1,700 radio affiliates, has made Promo Only MPE available on their service in the United States since late 2005. Mediabase 24/7’s password protected website allows radio broadcasters, via the Promo Only MPE System, to preview and download selected full length music tracks.

“The mass adoption and staggering numbers achieved by the MPE System demonstrate the music industry’s firm commitment to our service as the premier choice for all of their digital distribution requirements,” said Dean Ernst, Director of Promo Only MPE. “Equally impressive is the fact that virtually every broadcast chain is employing the MPE System to fulfill their needs.”

Promo Only MPE has been leading the music industry in digital distribution in the United States since its launch in October of 2004. To date, the system has well over 8,000 individual registered users, predominantly radio station programmers. In excess of 18,000 tracks have been distributed through the Promo Only MPE System for labels including Universal Music Group, Sony BMG, EMI Music Group and Warner Music Group. 2005 marked the partnership deal with Mediabase 24/7 monitoring service and the unveiling of the first ever digital distribution system with Spanish language capabilities, allowing it to serve the growing number of Spanish speaking radio stations and Latin label divisions in the United States. In 2006, Radio and Records announced that they will combine with Promo Only as the exclusive sales representative for the Promo Only MPE System.

Destiny is the only company to have released a Mac version of its digital distribution system. The Promo Only MPE System is the only product of its kind to feature true iPod support, by servicing Apple’s AAC files. The recently released version 2.0 features a number of key upgrades including music video delivery capabilities and linear HD audio support.
