United States Digital Distribution Leader Promo Only MPE Announces New Milestone as User Levels Reach 4,300
Orlando, FL - October 31, 2005 -– Promo Only MPE, the leading digital distribution system in the United States, today announced a new milestone in adoption as registered user numbers surpassed 4,300. With the highest download rate of any digital distribution system, Promo Only MPE continues to set industry standards. To meet heightened demand and strengthen Promo Only MPE’s relationship with stations and labels, three experienced radio and label executives have been brought on board, adding to Promo Only MPE’s existing staff of stellar industry veterans.

Vel Omazic joins Promo Only MPE from a 15 year stint at Sony Music Canada, where he was Vice-President of Promotion and Media Relations. Omazic brings over 20 years of major label experience to his role as Label and Radio Relations Director at Promo Only MPE. In his new position he will oversee radio and label relations for Promo Only MPE in North America.
Phil Michaels-Trueba has been appointed Director of Programming at Promo Only. Trueba will now coordinate label and radio relations for Promo Only MPE. In addition Trueba will also oversee all content and be responsible for programming on all US Promo Only issues. Trueba brings a wealth of radio experience to this role, having previously spent 13 years at Cox Radio. Most recently, in his time as Program Director for Party 93.1 in Miami, the station became the nation’s most popular dance music station winning Billboard Monitor’s first Radio Innovator award.
Laurie Gail will serve as Label Relations Manager at Promo Only MPE. Gail’s new role will be to manage the delivery of content from labels to the Promo Only MPE System. Her rich radio experience includes lengthy programming stints at WFNX in Boston and Instant Live, a Clear Channel subsidiary.
Promo Only MPE recently unveiled the first ever digital distribution system with Spanish language capabilities, allowing it to serve the growing number of Spanish speaking radio stations and Latin label divisions in the United States.
