Promo Only MPE Provides Exclusive Digital Distribution in Spanish
Orlando, Florida, October 12, 2005 – Promo Only today unveiled the first digital distribution system with Spanish language capabilities. The Promo Only MPE System offers a multi-language option, enabling users to switch between Spanish and English from within the Promo Only MPE Player.
US census data shows that almost 25% of the American population is Latino. With further research indicating that the Latino demographic listens to twice as much radio as anyone else , the market for Spanish distribution is rapidly expanding. Further evidence of which is suggested by Clear Channel’s plans to convert 25 radio station to Spanish by year end.
Currently no other digital delivery system can service content in Spanish to US stations. Promo Only MPE can now service content from the Latin divisions of major record labels, including Universal Music Group, Sony BMG, EMI Music Group and Warner Music Group.
"Promo Only MPE has changed the way we do business," said Carolina Arenas, Label Manager at Machete. "It is fantastic to be able to turn around top priority singles and remixes in only one day. The Wisin Y Yandel "Rakata" remix has already reached #1 on the Billboard Rhythm Chart. With Promo Only MPE we are able to reach out to radio programmers, sales and media reps virtually instantaneously. It's an excellent tool."
“The number of Spanish stations is rising,” adds Dean Ernst, director at Promo Only. “Previously, Latin stations had to depend on English speaking staff to receive tracks via digital distribution. This product will ensure Spanish stations are able to get new tracks to their listeners as soon as possible.”
