United States' Choice for Digital Distribution Promo Only MPE Delivers Over 93% of Top Singles in Hot AC, CHR Pop, Country and Christian Charts

Promo Only MPE Also Sets Record Numbers for Radio Station Users Online Surpassing 3800 Active Users on the System

Philadelphia, PA, September 22nd 2005 --- The radio and recording industry’s number one name in digital distribution, Promo Only MPE, is announcing some exciting news from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Convention in Philadelphia this year. Not only has Promo Only MPE passed another milestone by bringing their 3800th user onto the system, the system has been posting record numbers of tracks delivered on the Hot AC, CHR Pop, Country and Christian Music Charts with over 93% of the top tracks delivered coming via Promo Only MPE.

The Promo Only MPE team didn’t realize just how far the system had come in the year since its launch at NAB 2004 until the statistics from industry-leading tracking service Mediabase 24/7 were posted on September 13th. After looking over the charts, the truth became apparent, with Promo Only MPE delivering 36 out of the Top 40 in Hot AC, 36 out of the Top 40 in CHR Pop, 39 out of the Top 40 in Country and an astounding 48 out of the Top 50 releases for Christian radio. Promo Only MPE has cemented its position as the number one choice for both labels and radio.

The single “Stars” from Christian rock band Switchfoot via EMI CMG broke into the top 10 on the charts in just 2 weeks following its distribution to radio exclusively through Promo Only MPE. The track was issued digitally on July 1st and no CD Pro was sent to radio until August 15th.

Grant Hubbard, EMI Christian Label Group’s Vice President of National Promotions, was amazed by the number of spins and add rate that the single commanded through Promo Only MPE’s digital distribution alone.

“I can’t say enough positive things about this system or the people at Promo Only MPE,” said Grant Hubbard, VP of National Promotions with EMI CMG. “The incredible success of the Switchfoot single is a huge testament to just how effective this system is. From what I have seen, Promo Only MPE is by far the superior system.”

“I knew that we had a lot of tracks going out for a lot of labels, but to see just how successful the service has become in delivering the top tracks in the fastest and safest way possible is truly amazing,” said Dean Ernst, Director of the Promo Only MPE Project. “We are constantly working to make this the best system for radio and labels alike, and it looks as if people are beginning to take notice.”
