Digital Distribution Leader Promo Only MPE Hits 3000 User Mark

Issues Breaking Single From 'American Idol' Season 3 Winner, Fantasia EXCLUSIVELY for RCA Music Group

ORLANDO, Fla., July 12, 2005 -- Promo Only MPE, the industry standard in digital delivery for the music industry, achieved a landmark number of users today, announcing that it has surpassed the 3000 mark for radio programmers and directors utilizing the system. Additionally, RCA Music Group has approached Promo Only MPE to request that their breaking single, "It's All Good" from American Idol season 3 winner, Fantasia, be distributed EXCLUSIVELY by the Promo Only MPE System on the heels of this massive announcement.
Destiny Media Technologies (OTCBB: DSNY) announced today that in conjunction with its partner Promo Only, it has achieved record penetration of the music industry. The Company's technology, which has the ability to deliver music, videos and other digital media via the Internet at a fraction of the cost of traditional means, is the only digital distribution system used exclusively by Universal Music Group (UMG) and the only distribution service that has delivered over 1,200 tracks to US radio.
The Promo Only MPE System has been leading the music industry in digital distribution in the United States since its launch in October of 2004. To date, Promo Only MPE has delivered over 800 tracks for Universal Music Group (UMG) and over 1500 tracks overall for labels including Warner Bros. Records, RCA Music Group, Atlantic Records, Capitol Records Nashville, Jive Records, Virgin Records, Rhino Records, Curb Records and every major Christian Record label plus many more Independent record labels. Promo Only MPE has delivered over 5 times the number of tracks of any competitor in the U.S. and is the ONLY digital distribution system under contract with a major label group (UMG) in the United States.
"We have seen our user rate take massive leaps over the last week with approximately 40 additions to the system each day," said Dean Ernst, Director of the Promo Only MPE project. "Radio is seeing that our system is the standard to which the industry is moving towards and users are coming aboard in droves. Our highest priority right now is making sure they are happy with our service."
"With Promo Only MPE hitting the very important milestone of 3000 users, it has become evident that they are establishing the preeminent digital distribution service in the United States," said Adrian Moreira, VP of Adult Format Promotion with RCA Music Group. "We saw this as a perfect opportunity to give them the exclusive on 'It's All Good' which is a huge single for Fantasia and critically important to get to the right people as quickly as possible."
Promo Only MPE is a highly sophisticated, secure media, digital delivery system, which locks down the distributed tracks and allows labels to specifically authorize their content to a unique user. Each song is uniquely encrypted so that only those with the Promo Only MPE software can access it. Users can have access to their account on multiple machines therefore making the system completely portable. The Promo Only MPE System utilizes uncompressed wav. files to ensure the highest quality.
Clear Channel has approved and endorsed the Promo Only MPE System in all of its stations since September of 2004. Promo Only MPE is currently in use by such radio groups as Cumulus, Infinity, Cox, Citadel, Salem Communications, Radio One, Emmis, Entercom, Sirius, Journal, ABC, DMX, Disney, Univision, Westwood One, Regent, Next Media and a number of other media groups. Additionally, Mediabase, a division of Premiere Radio Networks, has entered into an exclusive partnership to implement the Promo Only MPE System into their service.
Promo Only MPE is a product of Destiny Media Technologies and is exclusively marketed and distributed by Promo Only.
