Destiny Media Technologies Announces New Telephone Based Streaming Audio Email Technology

Vancouver. B.C. - Destiny Media Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: DSNY) is pleased to announce the introduction of Clipstream Audiomail ™ which automates the process of creating and sending streaming audio enabled emails. This simple process makes sending an audio enabled email as easy as leaving a message on an answering machine.

In the past, creation of an audio enabled email required some basic sound card and HTML knowledge, which limited its accessibility. The user needed to record the message on a computer and then convert it into an HTML formatted email. Destiny's new automated telephone access system makes it possible to have timely voice messages emailed to a desk top within minutes of recording. Customer support and other high demand applications require near real time feedback to the customer. Examples where timeliness is important include analyst calls and voice messages from management to their staff.

Destiny VP Sales Mark Toffoli explains, "Many people use email to reach out to a large number of people on a regular basis. This can be in the form of targeted advertising or information update forums in the form of a newsletter. Traditional email is impersonal and many companies are looking for a friendlier way to interact with their internet customers. This technology brings the emotion of the human voice to email communications. Whether reaching out proactively in an e-marketing campaign or responding to incoming inquiries, this technology offers companies a new way to talk to customers."

Sending an audio email is easy and for a limited time, anyone can sign up for a free trial. Once an account has been set up at, the user calls 604 609 0185 and leaves a message. That message is immediately returned as a streaming audio enabled email which can be forwarded to a single recipient or to a mailing list.

David Lawrence, Destiny CEO also sees a market for personal communications. "I see tremendous opportunities for individual applications such as audio greeting cards and voice messages from loved ones."

The telephone technology can also be used to automatically create streaming audio clips for a web site. A number of text based businesses would benefit from integrating Clipstream Audiomail ™ functionality for embedding streaming audio clips into their offerings. Online directories, classified advertising sites, match making services and many other text based sites could use a telephone based streaming audio system as an opportunity to increase site revenues.

Many companies offer audio enabled emails as an attachment or as a link to a player based solution. Clipstream Audiomail™ is different in that the audio is embedded and the email is extremely small, no matter how long the recording is as the audio only streams when necessary.

A proprietary technology developed by Destiny, Clipstream™ enables the delivery of streaming audio directly from a banner, e-mail or web page without the need for an external player or plug-in. As a java-based technology, Clipstream™ audio can be heard by approximately 93% of web users and the consumer is not required to download or configure a player. To ensure the highest quality audio experience, Clipstream™ also automatically detects the user's connection speed to deliver the most appropriate stream size. Clipstream ™ is one of the only streaming formats to be accessible through a firewall.

Current solutions provided by companies such as Real Networks (RNWK-Nasdaq) or Microsoft (MSFT-Nasdaq) requires an external player, which cannot be embedded directly into an e-mail. Because Clipstream™ is java based, it is natively supported by HTML e-mail programs.
