Destiny Media Technologies, Inc. (TSX.V: DSY; OTCQX: DSNY) ("Destiny"), headquartered in Vancouver, BC, Canada, was founded in 1991 as a video game developer. Since that time, we have become a leading provider of secure digital content distribution solutions including audio and video streaming solutions and secure file distribution to customers around the globe.
Destiny has two product lines, MPE® and Clipstream®. MPE® technologies enable the secure distribution of digital content such as audio, video, pictures and meta data to destination computers.
MPE® enables content to be owned the way a recipient might own a DVD or CD. Clipstream® enables content to be securely streamed for temporary viewing or listening, similar to TV or radio. Clipstream® recipients don’t need a player and sites don’t need a streaming server. This means much higher play rates at a fraction of the cost.
The company has granted patents for secure distribution and watermarking and a pending patent for cross platform PC and mobile streaming. Recognized by Profit Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in Canada, Destiny’s revenue and earnings growth has been buoyed by the flag ship Play MPE® system which currently generates approximately 99% of the company’s revenue. It is being embraced by the music industry as the standard for securely moving their pre-release music to radio stations and other recipients. Two of the four labels have press released their intention to take Play MPE® globally to their subsidiaries in 77 countries and the other two are already regular commercial users internationally.
